Project 617
PURPOSE: MPRA is designated for accommodation of berthing floats on unimproved port facilities in the absence of a root to ensure ashore coming of caterpillar and wheeled vehicles from mooring pontoon.

ENSURES:
- Accomodation of respective light heavy weight (projects ПМ61М, ПМ61М1, ПЖ-61М) and heavy (projects 16180, 16181, 1516, 15163) berthing float on unimproved port facilities at primary Navy base;
- Deployment of retrograde and dispersed Navy bases on unimproved port facilities;
- Landing of troops from assault landing ship;
- Handling operations using rubber-tired and caterpillar vehicles on main pontoon of MPRA;
- Supply of power energy and drinking and household water to berthing floats from the shore.
