Building of new ships has been started

Building of 2 multipurpose ramped slips (MRS) of 617 project has been started on the stocks of Ship-Repairing and Ship-Building Corporation PJSC under public contract concluded. The customer is the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense. Ships are scheduled to be delivered in 2020-2021.

MRS is designated for placement of berthing floats at unimproved port facilities if no root is available.

MRS ensures:

- Placement of existing light-heavy weight (projects ПМ61М, ПМ61М1, ПЖ-61М) and heavy (projects 16180, 16181, 1516, 15163) berthing floats at unimproved port facilities;

- Deployment of Navy retrograde and dispersed basing at unimproved shore;

- Lodgment from assault carriers;

- Loading and unloading operations using pneumatic wheel and caterpillar machinery on main MRS pontoon;

- Delivery of drinking water, service water and power from the shore to berths.
