Solemn keel laying ceremony

On shipbuilding way of Ship-Repairing and Ship-Building Corporation JSC a non-propelled dredging shovel of RDB 66.42 project with building number 1001 was laid ceremoniously on April 12.

This dredging shovel will be operated in Yakutia on rivers of the Lena river basin. It will be a vessel of 52.9 meters of length and 12 meters of width. Ground capacity is 1000 cubic meters per hour. The dredging shovel is building as a part of measures aimed at renovation of attending fleet under Federal Target Program “Development of Russian transport system (2010-2020)” and against order of Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of Russia.

Building contractor is Federal Government Institution “River Water Way” (FKU “Rechvodput”).

Designer is Rostov Central Design Bureau “Stapel” JSC (RCPKB “Stapel” JSC).

Solemn ceremony was attended by Deputy Head of Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of Russia Mr. V. Vovk, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Nizhny Novgorod region Mr. M. Cherkasov, Head of Federal Government Institution “River Water Way” Mr. M. Dobrin, Acting General Director of Ship-Repairing and Ship-Building Corporation JSC Mr. D. Savin, General Director of Rostov Central Design Bureau “Stapel” JSC Mr. N. Tyrtyshny, official representatives of Upper Volga Branch of Russian River Registry, Head of Gorodets District Municipality and personnel of Ship-Repairing and Ship-Building Corporation JSC.

Ship-Repairing and Ship-Building Corporation JSC has never built such vessels before. Participation in this project will enable the Company to get a priceless experience and it is the first stage of implementation of production diversification program for Ship-Repairing and Ship-Building Corporation JSC.
