Ceremonial keel-laying of a new ship

On June 28 a new sea-going special ship (project 14400, yard number 1440) for the Naval Forces was solemnly laid down on the stocks of the Shipreparing & Shipbuilding Corporation OJSC.

This ship is meant for training of shipborne helicopter crews in flights under shipboard conditions.

Customer – Federal State Unitary Enterprise Krylov State Research Centre.

Shipreparing & Shipbuilding Corporation OJSC has never built such ships. Participation in this project made it possible for the enterprise to gain an invaluable experience; for Shipreparing & Shipbuilding Corporation OJSC it is a new stage of development of shipbuilding for the Naval Forces.
