“SSC”, OJSC is a contemporary shipbuilding complex. The SSC turns out to have inherited composite shipbuilding, and during a long time it has been the main area of focus of the Gorodets shipyard. We entered the 21st century right as a factory specializing on a composite shipbuilding. 

WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TOBUILD THE VESSELS PRACTICALLY WITHOUT LIMITS IN DEADWEIGH

The first really great projects in the sphere of metal shipbuilding started to appear since 2007. Currently the correlation between a metal  shipbuilding and a composite one almost has got to be equal and corresponds as 40% to 60% relatively. This is thought to be a good result showing high diversification and universality of our production.

The enterprise possesses one of the most powerful launching ramp mechanisms on the Volga river, consisting of 15 launching trolleys andwhich is able to lift and heave off the ship of up to 140 m in length and up to 3 500 tons of dock weight. We also manage 8 autonomous shipbuilding way locations and thus on these places we can produce mounting of eight ships simultaneously of completely different projects.

The factory is also in possession of weighty ship-carrying trains: complex of 68 driven and driving shipbuilding way trolleys with 75 tons of cargo capacity each. Thanks to this matter the SSC of today has a great deal of power reserve for production as well and the company can build heavytonnage ships practically with no limits in deadweight.

Currently building of heavy (project. 16181) and light-heavy (project. 824M) floating reinforced concrete quay berths for the Russian Federation Navy is going on. Furthermore, the contract on building a range of border floating landing stages is signed (project 09662) to provide the border troops of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation with. According to the whole range of positions made by “SSC”, OJSC, the enterprise has got the status of the exclusive provider of Russian military weapons and equipment.

Outside of the works in the frame limitsof the State Defense Procurement and Acquisition, the enterprise workers also control the building of metal floating repairing dock of a new generation of 8 000 tons of cargo capacity (project 28140) with the full outfitting for the Azerbaijan State Ocean Company.

The SSC surely moves on the way of increasing its mightiness and efficiency. The enterprise has been holding the politics of global modernization to achieve more and better results. An upgrading of engineering infrastructure, production facility, and machinery equipment takes place there. They also started preparing to reconstructing the ship-lifting and ship heaving off device of a comb-shaped building slipway. The concrete mini-factory is bought as well, which can meet not only the inner requirements of “SSC”, OJSC, but also those of outside consumers. The machine for the gas-flame cutting “AJAN ” is purchased and installed as well. All the systems of the factory are gradually being upgraded, the local schemes come to be applicable where they have never been centralizedbefore. This lets us refuse, for instance, a factory-wide system of “the principal air” and vacate additional facility rooms. There will be placed a powerful boilerroom and will be organized the chief factory heating unit on those free locations. This, in its turn, will give us a chance to enhance warming –up of the shop floors and come over to all the year round production. The SSC specialists participated in developing of “The conception of creating and using the floating nuclear power generating station. The production of the similar nuclear power stations in the modern conditions helps in deciding the problems with energy supply both at the internal and external market and happens to be perspective with regards to energy supply security of the country.

Another perspective field of concern of the company can be named as production of the module accommodation hulks and block-giants. One can carry out the shore protection with their help (for example, during low-head damming), then also the shaping and outlining the quays within the cities, creating and developing the artificial islands. 

Our company has the opportunity to produce up to 3-5 km of such devices a year.

On the basis of the reinforced concrete accommodation hulks we can create almost any infrastructure (among them being hotels, parking lots, petrolstations, yacht clubs, marines, etc.). 

Some of our developments, particularly “Mobile military and marine base” and “The city on the water”, were presented at the exhibitions “Neva”and “International military and marine salon” in St. Petersburg.

“SSC”, OJSC has a range of awards including the Diploma of XIII nternational Exhibition “The Border” which took place within the International exhibition of the state security facilities “ Interpolitech-2010”, for developing a non-self-propelled floating landing stage (project 09662).

AT THE ENTERPRISE THE ACCREDITATION LABORATORY FUNCTIONS ACTIVELY FOR CLASSIFYING THE REINFORCED CONCRETE, IT IS EQUIPED WITH THE CONTEMPORARY METERING DEVICE THAT LETS FOLLOW PERMANENTLY OBSERVING THE TECHNOLOGICAL DISCIPLINE AND CONTROL THE QUA LITY OF THE OUTPUT PRODUCTS.
